ABSTRACT
In order to produce activated matrices one can use not only amino-organosilicas but also organosilicas with other functional groups. In this respect, of serious interest are, in particular, olefin-containing silicas that in the presence of organic peroxides and other initiators or under the action of ionizing radiation are able to add compounds having double bonds [24]. It is by copolymerization of vinylsilica and methacrylic acid that modified silicas with grafted carboxyl groups have been synthesized [75).
