ABSTRACT
Bernoulli's theorem is therefore an expression of the Principle of the Conservation of Energy. It shows that for a fluid flowing in a tube of flow, whose cross-sectional area may vary and whose height may also vary above an arbitrary base-line, that the sum of the pressure, the kinetic energy per unit volume and the potential energy per unit volume, at a point on a flow-line, is constant.
