ABSTRACT
Chapters 4, 5 and 6 included a number of examples of element design (slabs, beams and columns) for both the ultimate and serviceability limit states. In this chapter, the design of a six-storey office building is presented and two cases are considered:
(i) Design to EC2/NAD (permanent, variable and wind actions)
(ii) Design to EC8/EC2 (permanent, variable and seismic actions).
