ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper presents the results of short-term bond tests of 8 mm (0.315 in.) diameter Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) rods embedded in concrete. Bond tests were conducted on three concrete slabs containing three smooth rods and three deformed rods each. Slab thicknesses were 152 mm (6 in.), 305 mm (12 in.) and 457 mm (18 in.).
