ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will consider tone systems in the broader sense. We will deal with various mathematical models of sound signals T. Which class of sound signals we wish to claim to be the class T of musical tones, it depends, in fact, on our will. We suppose that tones are represented as real or complex valued functions. The aim of this chapter is also to show how the uncertainty (namely-nonspecificity) of information in tone systems arises from the insufficiency of math ematics.
