ABSTRACT
Whereas kinematics is a study of motion without regard to the forces causing the motion, kinetics is a study of forces producing the motion. The relations between the forces and the motion (that is, between the kinetics and the kinematics) is the essence of dynamics. These relations, referred to as: "equations of motion," are presented and discussed in the next chapter.
