ABSTRACT
On the basis of this interim assessment the following conclusions were considered to be likely at the completion of this trial.
1. ND will have significantly better analgesia than the long-acting ST1 by the first hour after dosing, suggesting faster onset of relief. ND pain relief will remain superior to ST1 for nearly 4 hours, suggesting greater extent of relief. The duration of effect will be similar for ND and ST1.
