ABSTRACT
Water desalination is one of the major production methods of potable and industrial water. About 8 6 % of the population worldwide-over two billion-have limited access to clean water sources (Moulin et al., 1991). Since the world’s population is predicted to double over the next 50 years, many experts have expressed opinions that we are facing a worldwide water crisis.
