ABSTRACT

It is known, that some prognostic and predictive factors should be considered to solve the problem of the therapy of breast carcinomas. A prognostic importance of the cell proliferation index (Ki67) is significant for those tumors, in which it is difficult to predict clinical course only with histological characteristics [1]. The cell proliferation index is an independent predictor of the general survival as well as the disease relapse in breast carcinoma patients [2]. Additionally, univariate and multivariate analyses show that the cell proliferation index correlates with unfavorable clinical outcome [1, 3, 4].
