ABSTRACT
Agroecology has developed a large arsenal of technical solutions to facilitate the transition of conventional farms to organic farming and to ensure the viability of the farm. However, the more macro aspects, especially the political aspects, have remained in the background. This has led to insufcient development of aspects that transcend the farm or local community scale of the agroecological focus, especially political and institutional aspects, which regulate social relationships in agriculture.
