Claims that can be used on conventional foods and dietary supplement labels fall into three general regulatory categories: nutrient content claims, structure/ function claims, and health claims. ´e responsibility for ensuring the validity of these claims rests with the manufacturer or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
