To obtain compressed air at a given pressure and temperature, one uses a compressor and a thermal energy transmitter (heat exchanger) using water as cooling fluid (Fig. 10.8).

• The compressor and the thermal energy transmitter (heat exchanger) are perfectly thermally insulated.
