ABSTRACT

The commonest implants worldwide contain a progestogen in a slow-release carrier, made either of dimethylsiloxane, as in JadelleTM or Sino-implant (11)TM (not available in the United Kingdom) with two implants, or ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), as in NexplanonTM otherwise known in some locations as Implanon NXT, a single rod (Fig. 13).
