ABSTRACT

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the most popular member of the polyester family, which is the most consumed and recycled among the engineered polymers. PET has been known for its thermal and mechanical performance, transparency, barrier property, thermoformability, and, lately, curbside recyclability, thanks to the infrastructure in the waste management. It made clear advances in beverage bottle, food tray, construction, structural, transportation, and packaging [1,2].
