ABSTRACT

Constellations are created by assigning already existing STK Objects that are listed within the Object browser to the “Assigned Objects” section within the STK Constellation Object interface. The Constellation reads all available STK Objects and then allows you to select the ones you need to fill the

Constellation array. As you fill the STK Constellation array with the assigned STK Objects, you can further define the constellation by selecting specialized constraints. When analyzing a chain access using a constellation without constraints set, as the Figure 12.4 shows, the STK Object will select each item within the constellation and consider it to see if it has a successful access or not. The constellation allows you to have increasingly complex analysis in an organized and logical manner. When we add in constraints, the analysis will become even more complex.
