ABSTRACT

To start a scenario, the user will need to select the “Mountain with a Sunrise” icon. This is found in three primary areas: (1) the Welcome to STK wizard, by selecting the icon that says “Create a New Scenario” button; (2) from the

Task Icon menu section, by selecting the same; or (3) from the Task Menu bar under “File/New. . . .” A user can only run one instance, or scenario, at a time within STK. For best practices, if you need to create several scenarios, then this is handled by creating one scenario, making sure it is saved in a unique file folder, and exiting out of the scenario. After that, a new scenario can be started. Remember, you can only work one instance of a scenario at a time. It is possible to run multiple versions of the software at the same time but not utilizing the same scenario folder. For instance, I often run version 9 and version 10 at the same time from different folders to compare/contrast behavior changes. I use this method often to assist with validation processes.
