ABSTRACT
The word manufacture was derived from its Latin origin: manu factus, i.e., to make by hand. Today, however, manufacturing is mainly done by machinery. Manufacturing technology is the largest sector of modern industry and embraces many branches of industrial activities, such as the food, drug, machinery, weapon, textile, leather, and shoe industries. These technologies are difcult to be contained in one book. To be limited, this book must be conned to technologies that are basic to all industries.
