Over the years, the safety of transportation systems has become an important issue. For example, in 1990, there were around 1 million trafc deaths and about 40 million trafc injuries worldwide and as per the projection of World Health Organization (WHO), the worldwide deaths from accidents will increase to around 2.3 million by 2020 [1,2].
