ABSTRACT
The infrastructure-less nature of wireless ad-hoc networks (WANs) has already been discussed. The nodes are capable of forming a network on an anywhere, anytime basis. The communication between the nodes takes place in a distributed manner. The establishment of communication channels between a pair of source and destination nodes becomes difficult due to the lack of infrastructure and absence of centralized authority. A closer look needs to be taken at this problem.
