However, the direct signal propagation approach is complicated by the presence of a feedback or algebraic loop, where as discussed earlier, the input of a block depends, usually indirectly, on its own output. In this case, a set of equations representing the block operations are to be constructed and computed simultaneously, either as a linear or a nonlinear system, depending on the type of block operations involved.
