ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces a practical quantitative feedback theory (QFT) robust control technique to design one-point feedback controllers for distributed parameter systems (DPS) with uncertainty. The method considers (1) the spatial distribution of the relevant points where the inputs and outputs of the control system are applied (actuators, sensors, disturbances, and control objectives) and (2) a new set of transfer functions (TFs) that describe the relationships between those distributed inputs and outputs.
