ABSTRACT

Transfection refers to the process by which foreign DNA (transgene) is incorporated into and expressed by a eukaryotic cell1. Stable transfection describes the incorporation of the transgene into the host cellular genome such that it is transferred with other host genetic material to daughter cells.
