ABSTRACT
Indications Truncal vagotomy and pyloroplasty is indicated for the treatment of complicated
duodenal ulcer disease. It is the standard operation for bleeding duodenal ulcer. It is less often used for perforation or obstruction. It is also an operative option in patients with ulcers refractory to medical treatment.
