ABSTRACT
I met Adalberto Orsatti sixteen years ago. I knew his papers on abelian groups prior to my arrival in Italy and I went in Cortona just for a couple of days in August 1981 in order to meet him personally (there was a summer school on Abelian Groups organized by the Scuola Normale Superiore with lecturers L. Fuchs and A. Orsatti).
