ABSTRACT
In this note we study Morita contexts and Galois extensions for corings. For a coring C https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429187629/ac445a68-1635-4dfb-97a7-7653d5efb83a/content/inq_chapter1_1_1.tif"/> over a (not necessarily commutative) ground ring A we give equivalent conditions for ℳ C https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429187629/ac445a68-1635-4dfb-97a7-7653d5efb83a/content/inq_chapter1_1_2.tif"/> to satisfy the weak. resp. the strong structure theorem. We also characterize the so called cleft C-Galois extensions over commutative rings. Our approach is similar to that of Y. Doi and A. Masuoka in their work on (cleft) H-Galois extensions (see for example [10, 11])
