ABSTRACT

Additionally, best practices for producing games are evolving to recognize the need for flexibility and iteration as part of the game development process. Many developers now use a mix of agile development methods, including “Scrum” or variations on Scrum, and traditional software production methods to produce their games. The core difference between agile development methods and more traditional software methods is a focus on creating working software versus documentation and managing the team so that it can respond to discoveries in the process, rather than following a predetermined plan.
