coronoid process and ramus of the mandible. • Usual innervation: Branch of the mandibular division of CN5 (Winkler 1991). • Notes: In orangutans the temporalis is usually not divided into a distinct pars

superficialis and a distinct pars profunda, and there is also no distinct pars suprazygomatica (Boyer 1935a, our dissections).
