ABSTRACT
These granaries are huge clay pots, separated from the ground by a stone foundation, and covered by a distinctive cone-shaped roof built with vegetable fibers. Most of the vernacular cuescomates are preserved in use only in some isolated areas from the States of Morelos, Mexico, Puebla and Tlaxcala in the center of the Mexican Republic.
