ABSTRACT
The preceding chapters have laid out the essentials of CFD that a beginning user needs to master. In this chapter a number of case studies are presented that investigate specific aspects:
Mesh refinement and order of accuracy: Sec. 9.1 looks at inviscid, incompressible flow over a well-known aerofoil geometry to investigate the effects of mesh refinement and compares results with first-and second-order accurate discretisations. A mesh convergence study is performed and errors are analysed.
