ABSTRACT

Application of electrically conductive polymers to nanofiber mats is considered. Different concentration of Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) solutions was electrospun. The electrospun PAN nanofibers were coated with polypyrrole (PPy) as conductive polymers. Mean nanofibers diameter and their morphology were studied using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Electrical resistance of the coated mats was measured. The results of the measurements indicated that PPy coating were effective in the reduction of the nanofibers electrical resistance comparing with that of uncoated nanofibers.
