ABSTRACT
Introduction Heat transfer is an important unit operation that is used in almost all chemical industries. In industries, heat is either gained or lost by a typical fluid stream. Once a particular fluid loses heat, there will be a stream that will gain heat. There are different types of heat-transfer equipment or heat exchangers, starting from a simple double-pipe exchanger to the highly complex multi-pass shell and tube exchanger.
