- Sequential Designs of ROC Experiments

Sequential procedures describe ways to collect data from a target population in conducting a statistical experiment. When a sequential procedure is employed, the data collection process may be terminated based on accumulated data before it reaches the maximum duration. In contrast, a xed size procedure always continues to its maximum duration that is specied prior to data collection. Therefore a sequential procedure must clearly dene when and how the accumulated data are looked at and what criteria are to be used for the sampling process to be terminated.
