ABSTRACT
As I have emphasized earlier, a properly designed statistical evaluation is one that systematically collects, organizes, analyzes, and draws valid conclusions about the product(s) being evaluated. Hence, when one designs a study, it is critical that the objectives be explicitly stated, the data expected be well understood, and the statistical model applied be appropriate to clearly explicating the significance of the data. In introduction to the detailed overview of statistical methods that follows, I will re-emphasize a few of the important considerations of study design discussed in different context in Chapters 5 and 6.
