ABSTRACT

From the early 1990s computational performance has been improving and numerous diagnostic techniques have been incorporated into clinical practice, improving the study and monitoring of many diseases in all areas of health. In the study of the eye, and more specically the study of pathologies affecting the retina, using many of these techniques has become essential for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Correct interpretation and understanding of these techniques is very important for the clinical practice of health professionals dedicated to visual care.
