ABSTRACT

The blood picture of cynomolgus monkeys was monitored on the day of birth, thereafter daily for the rst week of life, and then monthly through the 11th month of infancy by Sugimoto et al. (1986, Table 1). The subjects were born and reared at the Tsukuba Primate Center for Medical Science, Japan. They were full term and had a natural delivery. A total of 131 monkeys were used. Five infants were analyzed for each daily study from birth through the rst week of neonatal life. The monthly studies included a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 13 monkeys (mean = 8).
