ABSTRACT
Municipal solid waste management (MSWM) has been a complex challenge to the civil society. Human activities create waste, and the way these wastes are collected, stored, handled and disposed may pose risks to the environment and to public health. Improper solid waste management has contributed greatly to air, land and water pollution, and to climate change.
