ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with multiple objective designs in control linear systems by LMI techniques. As a matter of fact, in previous sections we treated some multiple objective design problems, for example, the D-stabilization problem and the quadratic D-stabilization problem. These problems may be classified into the category of multiple objective designs because the chosen LMI region D ensures both the closed-loop stability and the system dynamical performance requirements. This category of problems has the feature that multiple design requirements are met by a set of LMI conditions with common decision variables. The problems of insensitive region designs with minimum gain treated in the first section of this chapter belong to this category.
