ABSTRACT
IP technology is a progressive component of mobile network-ing that permits end-to-end solutions to handle data eciently. Subsequently, data growth must be handled accordingly as bit rate increases. By limiting the number of nodes, latency is low and real-time services over the packet domain make everyone happy. Figure 11.1 illustrates a present-day mobile switching architecture. is chapter takes the reader through various wireless deployments and makes an eort to appreciate the technology we use today.
