ABSTRACT
Smartphones and tablets are used for business and personal use and are growing in popularity. e increase in popularity shows a shi in the preference of a tablet as the chosen device for work due to its high functionality. e trend of employees selecting tablets as their primary work device is expected to continue at a rate of 5% over the next year. Organizations that have workers only connecting over wireless expect more than 10% of employees to fall into this category over the next year, as shown in Figure 17.1. is trend will grow as time goes on, forcing companies to build out wireless local area network (WLAN) as their primary means of access.
