In an ideal world, we would have an unlimited amount of data, and all relevant questions could be answered with certainty. Is Tom Brady better than Peyton Manning? Have them play hundreds and hundreds of games with the same teammates against similar opponents and analyze the results. Of course, in the real world, this is not possible, and we have to base our analyses on the available data.
