Building on the previous experience of ecosystem health, the concept of urban ecosystem health combines the ability to satisfy reasonable demand from human society and to maintain its own renewal and self-generative capacity. Therefore, urban ecosystem health is an integrated subject that includes ecological, socioeconomic, and human health perspectives. A few common concepts of urban ecosystem health are listed and analyzed in Table 2.1.
