ABSTRACT

The primary function of dishwashing detergents is to clean a wide range of tableware, including dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans. Many consumers use both hand dishwashing and automatic dishwashing detergents depending on the situation. Hand dishwashing is common for homes without automatic machines, hard-to-clean items such as pots and pans, fi ne crystal and china, large items, and in situations where there are not enough items to fi ll a load. Automatic dishwashing is

considered to be more convenient, involves less labor, provides a higher level of sanitization, and potentially utilizes less water.
