ABSTRACT
The skin overlying the trochanter that corresponds to the territory of the lateral perforating branch is painful to pinch-rolling and is often thickened. It can cover a narrow band which, especially for L1, can go down to midthigh and sometimes lower, following the path of the seam of the trousers (Fig. 47.2, right, and Fig. 47.4).
