ABSTRACT

No single program within a food manufacturing company can be as polarizing yet as important as that of quality control (QC). Its triple focus is to develop a system that protects the brand from enduring regulatory intervention, protects the customer from undue contamination, and protects the product from undue variation. Due to its importance, it is critical that the quality control manager understand what a quality control system is and of what it is composed.
