Commentary Even its critics must admit that the Bayesian point of view with its new and refreshing perspective for biostatistics can, like the first spring breeze blowing through a musty room, be energizing.* Allowing the scientist to focus on the hypothesis that he or she actually believes (rather than being forced to disprove what they don’t believe) is a powerful idea, and the facility to formally incorporate relevant preliminary information is invigorating.
