ABSTRACT
In general, the biosphere consists of three main ecosystems: a terrestrial environment, a freshwater environment, and a marine environment. These fundamental ecosystems include several smaller systems of variable dimensions and conditions. A signi cant part of the ecosystems has already been considerably modi ed by man, and such modi cation will continue.
