Ethics in the Radiology Department

The term “Ethics” refers to an agreed-upon set of rules that define acceptable behavior in a society or social environment. There are several subdivisions of Ethics. In this chapter, we are concerned about Applied Ethics. This branch of ethics describes rules of acceptable behavior in an organization, profession, or setting. In particular, we focus on the ethics (i.e., rules of acceptable behavior) appropriate to the profession of radiology.
