ABSTRACT
Although many jobs do not take place in confined areas, special situations, such as an emergency response, may require entry into confined spaces. Supervisors and safety officers often make decisions regarding those who work in confined areas; in these cases, managers should make sure all personnel understand the dangers as well as the proper safety procedures needed to safely access such environments.
