ABSTRACT
Capping should proceed only after the source of a leak has been clearly identified and attempts at sealing the leak by other means, such as tightening valves or fittings, have failed. At least two people are required to apply a capping kit, and the container must be in a position to receive the capping device. The following are important considerations to keep in mind when attempting capping:
