ABSTRACT
A centrifugal pump is made up of several parts that are designed to move at extremely high speeds. Lubrication of these moving parts is probably the most important and most frequently performed of all maintenance functions. Lubrication of centrifugal pump moving parts works to reduce friction and improve the efficiency of the pump. It is essential that these parts be lubricated. However, it is important to note that, in almost every case, too much lubrication can be as damaging as too little.
